Coaches who hold this highly regarded credential (NBC-HWC) have attended an approved health & wellness coach training program, and have passed the board certification exam (HWC Certifying Examination) offered through the NBHWC every fall and winter. Scoring for the Health & Wellness Coach Certifying Examination is designed to ensure that all certification holders have demonstrated a minimum level of knowledge consistent with conducting safe and effective health and wellness coaching.
