But I suspect that any benefit is infinitesimal at best, and probably imperceptible. In fact, for NOMRSINV(RAND()), Excel might simply call the internal code that would evaluate NORMINV(RAND(),0,1). Which is certainly possible in Matlab and such, which means it could be done with Excel, but it may require a bit of legwork.
