I have a wagon that uses one for engine oil & one for the trans. fluid. There's also a one wire (Thermistor ?) type sensor in a junction block in one of the lines coming out of the trans. Can't find a word about its function. I had to relocate it due to the cramped location.

He called me Sunday afternoon to say he had my car up on the lift. He was absolutely aghast at the design of the oil cooler hose assembly and pretty much repeated dale121's original post above.
